Prophet Ismail is an important figure in Islamic history and is considered to be one of the prophets of Allah. He was the son of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his wife, Hajar (Hagar). According to Islamic tradition, when Prophet Ibrahim was commanded by Allah to leave his wife Hajar and new-born son Ismail in the desert, Prophet Ibrahim trusted in Allah’s plan and left them there with only a small amount of water and dates. Hajar and Ismail were left alone in the desert with limited supplies, but Hajar believed in the power of Allah and went in search of water. She ran between two hills, Safa and Marwa, seven times in search of water. Eventually, Allah answered her prayers and a spring of water, known as Zamzam, emerged from the ground. Years passed, and Prophet Ismail grew up to be a righteous and pious man. When he was a teenager, Prophet Ibrahim received a command from Allah to sacrifice his son Ismail as a test of his faith. Prophet Ibrahim was heartbroken, but he submitted to Allah’s will and was about to carry out the sacrifice when Allah intervened and spared Prophet Ismail’s life, providing a ram for the sacrifice instead. Prophet Ismail went on to have twelve sons, who became the leaders of powerful tribes in Arabia. He lived a life of piety and righteousness, following in the footsteps of his father and passing down the values and beliefs of Islam to his descendants. Today, Prophet Ismail is remembered as a devout servant of Allah and a role model for all Muslims, who strive to follow in his footsteps by living a life of obedience to Allah and spreading the message of Islam through their words and actions.

127 As Abraham raises the foundations of the House, together with Ishmael, “Our Lord, accept it from us, You are the Hearer, the Knower.
128 Our Lord, and make us submissive to You, and from our descendants a community submissive to You. And show us our rites, and accept our repentance. You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful.
