Allah is the King of the World (Al Malik)

4 Mins read

Allah is the King of the world, the Creator of all things, the Almighty, the All-Powerful. As Muslims, we believe that Allah is the one and only God, and that He is the ultimate authority and ruler of the universe. In the Quran, Allah is described as the King of Kings, and His sovereignty over the world is emphasized throughout the holy book.

As the King of the world, Allah holds all power and authority. The Quran states: “Say, ‘O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent’” (3:26). This verse shows that Allah has complete control over the world, and He can give and take away power as He sees fit.

Allah’s kingship is also emphasized in the prayer that Muslims recite multiple times a day, known as the Surah Al-Fatiha. The prayer begins with the words, “All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the King of the Day of Judgment.” This prayer highlights Allah’s kingship, as well as His mercy and compassion.

As the King of the world, Allah is just and fair in His rulings. The Quran states: “Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded” (16:90). This verse shows that Allah expects His followers to act with justice and good conduct, and He forbids immorality and oppression.

Allah’s kingship also means that He has complete knowledge and awareness of everything that is happening in the world. The Quran states: “Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed, that, for Allah, is easy” (22:70). This verse shows that Allah has complete knowledge of everything in the world, and nothing is hidden from Him.

In conclusion, Allah is the King of the world, and His sovereignty over the universe is emphasized throughout the Quran. As Muslims, we believe that Allah has complete power and authority, and His justice and fairness are an integral part of our faith. We should strive to live our lives according to His teachings, and always remember that He is the ultimate authority and ruler of the universe.
